So, what are you eating?

There’s a kind of irony for us. Here we are on the Central Coast, the spiritual home of farmers’ markets and fresh veggies. But those outdoor markets are mostly closed and even if they’re not, we’re not going anywhere. My “pantry” as they say–meaning in my case the contents of our smallish fridge, the stuff in one cupboard and what’s stored on a shelf in the garage–consists of a few things we just had (spices, coffee, some Rancho Gordo beans, a can of tomatoes and a few bottles of wine) plus what we bought in one frenzied supermarket trip on March 12th and what we’ve since ordered from Amazon and Instacart. We long since gobbled up anything fresh.
